Nope, that's not it. Mine is saved as a GIF and still is not animated when placed as default pic. There has to be something else. Anybody ever successfully achieved this?

did you save it after you did all the effects and stuff?

i have all you have to do is save it into your pictures by right clicking your mouse on the image then in myspace you upload the image and save ok

Yes, I saved the pics after the effects were applied: right clicked the image, uploaded it into my photos on myspace, then chose one as my default. They were not animated once I saved them to my photos (even tho all of them were GIF files), and they did not animate as defaults, either. So, I must be doing something wrong. Does it matter where I saved it from? All of mine are in photobucket, work fine there, and have codes. I'm just not getting it, I guess. I also would like to use one for my Messenger and myspace IMs, but it's not happening. Any ideas anybody?

BY GEORGE - I'VE GOT IT!!!!!!

I did everything the same way as everyone else, except when I "saved as" I changed the name of the file (still saved as GIF, though). That is what froze the image, I think. When I redid everything and did not change the name of the file, it worked perfectly. Thank you all for your help.
