I sooo new at this but I am enjoying it. I saved the animation but when I opened it with my movie maker the animation doest not work. Does it need to be opened with a different program? Please advise.

are you trying to turn you animated graphic to a video but with it moving around...
some movie makers don't except things in gif format that's why it was a still image now I know windows movie maker you can see in there moving....works on mine the only move maker that i see opens animated graphics is windows movie maker...
you can also down gif animator and upload it on there and you will see it and you can turn it into a movie like that too...

but letting ya know that's why your animation wasn't showing your movie maker doesn't look like it can except gif formats with more then one frame moving to next frame just only the first frame...
you can also see it moving if you open it your firefox or IE or Chrome and it will be moving if you have save it in a gif format..
